Biodiversity Blog: Little Yellow Flags
You have probably noticed the appearance of some little yellow flags dotted around Stockley Park.
These are a reference for our Landscaping team as to the location of a very special plant called Bee Orchid. The flowers of the plant have a velvety lip which looks like a female bee. This attracts male bees, who end up pollinating the flower.
The flowers are very rare so we are lucky to have them at Stockley Park. We kindly ask these flags are left alone and are not moved.
