GSK'S 4th Annual Breast Cancer Walk and Symposium
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to mark the occasion for the fourth year running, GSK Stockley Park held a walk and symposium on Tuesday 11th October.
The event began with a 2 mile walk around Stockley Park, about eighty walkers left from GSK and took a route through Stockley Country Park and back to site via Stockley Park East. The lovely autumn sunshine made it an enjoyable stroll through the green spaces on the Park. Participants were then treated to a pizza lunch before joining the symposium.
As in previous years, the symposium was held in the US and broadcast to employees at GSK Stockley Park. The purpose is to demonstrate GSK's continued support for breast cancer awareness as well as to encourage donations to this year's chosen charity, breastcancercare.org. The team is aiming to raise £2,000 for this deserving charity, whcih will be match-funded by GSK.
The GSK team would like to thank all those who took part or donated their time to this cause. See a picture of the event.

Thanks for making the Mayor of London’s Sky Ride Hillingdon a huge success!
An amazing 7,000 people took part in the Mayor of London’s Sky Ride Hillingdon on Sunday 31st July. Sky, British Cycling, and Transport for London would like to thank everyone who turned out to make the day a success. Check out some of the photos from the day here.
The fun doesn't stop here though – there are Sky Ride Local events in the Hillingdon area running throughout the summer, and loads of suggestions of ways to ‘keep riding’ at goskyride.com.
Thanks again for being part of Sky Ride and helping Sky and British Cycling with their aim of getting a million more people riding their bikes regularly by 2013.
